Open File → Settings or the settings button on the project screen. Pipeline, provider, translation, and typesetting changes save automatically after a short delay.

Appearance

Choose Light, Dark, or System, and the desktop interface language. These settings do not change page rendering or the translation target language.

Pipeline

Choose detection, OCR, and inpainting processors. The selected processor exposes its own options, such as class thresholds or generative prompts. Processor profiles are retained independently.

Providers

Configure a connection listed in translation providers. Credentials use the operating system credential service; URLs and other non-secret options use the shared configuration. Provider changes refresh model discovery.

Translation

Choose the provider and model, local quantization, target language, and project instructions. Generation controls include sampling, repetition penalties, maximum tokens, thinking, and supported image input. The canvas processing selector exposes the frequently changed model and output fields. See translation settings for their effects.

Typesetting

Set the ordered default font-family stack. Koharu tries these families when a preferred family cannot supply usable glyphs, then uses system fallback. Individual text layers still own their typography.

Shortcuts

Assign one character to Select, Text, Brush, Eraser, Color picker, Remove, Pan, and Fit Window. Custom tool bindings update the running UI session and are not part of config.toml.
Pipeline, provider, translation, typesetting, and Agent configuration live in ~/.koharu/config.toml. Keep credentials separate and use the Settings UI instead of hand-editing secrets into the file.
