Create a project
On the start screen, enter a name in New project and choose Create. Koharu creates a self-contained
.khrproj directory under Documents/Koharu and opens the editor.2
Import your page
Choose File → Import Pages → Files, or use the page rail’s import button. Select your image. Koharu copies it into the project, so you can move the original later.

Choose the translation output
Open the processing selector above the canvas. Select a translation model, target language, and any project-wide instructions.For a hosted model, first save its connection in Settings → Providers. See translation providers.

Run the pipeline
Choose Current page, select all four stages, and click Run.Detection finds text, bubbles, and panels. OCR reads the detected text, translation writes the target-language text, and inpainting removes source lettering. Translation needs OCR; inpainting can proceed from detection.Follow the current page, stage, and model in the activity center.

Review the result
Select a text layer and compare source text with its translation in the inspector. Correct OCR, wording, names, and line breaks.Use Remove for missed source lettering, Brush or Eraser for raster touch-ups, and Text for a missing text box. Undo an unwanted edit.

Fit the text
Adjust the font, size, automatic fitting, alignment, writing direction, fill, and stroke. Check the page at normal reading size.
Only translated text is rendered. Source OCR stays editable, but it does not appear as fallback text when a translation is empty.

Export
Choose File → Export PNG for a flattened image or File → Export PSD for a layered document. Select an output directory.
Process a chapter
Choose page scopes and rerun only the stages that need work.
Refine the artwork
Use precise removal masks and manual raster corrections.
