How we use data

  • Operate the platform: host projects, enable realtime collaboration, manage roles, and export assets.
  • Protect the service: prevent abuse, enforce our Terms of Service, and investigate security or fraud issues.
  • Improve Koharu: troubleshoot performance, plan features, and understand how collaboration tools are used.
  • Communicate with you: send onboarding tips, service announcements, or respond to support requests. You can opt out of non-essential emails.

Sharing and processors

  • We use service providers for hosting, storage, email delivery, observability, and other infrastructure needed to run Koharu.
  • We do not sell personal data. Providers only process information to deliver the services we rely on and are bound by confidentiality obligations.
  • We may share data when required by law or to respond to valid legal requests that meet due process standards.

Retention and security

  • Project content is retained while your account or project is active, and for a reasonable period afterward for backup and audit needs.
  • We use encryption in transit and restrict access to production systems to authorized personnel.
  • If you delete content or close a project, backups may persist for a limited time before being purged from rotation.

Your choices

  • You can update account details or request deletion of your account and associated personal data, subject to legal obligations and project owner requirements.
  • Project owners control membership. If you need access removed from a project, contact the owner first.
  • You can manage notification preferences and unsubscribe from non-essential emails.

International use

  • Koharu may process data in regions where our infrastructure or service providers operate. By using the platform, you consent to that processing.
  • If your local laws grant additional data rights, we will honor valid requests where required.

Children

  • Koharu is not directed to children under 16. Do not create an account or submit data if you do not meet this requirement.
